KMAT Eligibility Criteria for 2024

1. Nationality & Nativity:

   • Indians and Non-Indians are eligible to apply.

   • However, only Keralite candidates are eligible for all types of reservations and fee concessions.

2. Age:

   • There are no age restrictions for candidates.

3. Educational Qualifications:

   • Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of a minimum three years duration in fields such as Arts, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, or its equivalent.

4. Minimum Marks:

   • Candidates must have attained the minimum marks stipulated for admission to the MBA course by the respective universities.

5. Graduating Candidates:

   • Final-year students who are yet to complete their degree can also apply, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the admission process.

K-MAT 2025 Syllabus

The K-MAT exam syllabus is based on the 10+2 curriculum and covers the following subjects:

• English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension

• Quantitative Aptitude

• Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning

• General Knowledge and Current Affairs

Marking Scheme:

• Correct Answer: +4 marks

• Wrong Answer: -1 mark (Negative marking applies)

Exam Centres

• The K-MAT exam will be conducted in various cities across Kerala.

• Candidates are required to select four city codes of their choice while filling out the online application form.

• If the number of candidates opting for a city is low, candidates may be allocated to an alternate city.

Qualifying Marks

To qualify for admission to MBA programs in Kerala, candidates must secure the following minimum marks:

• General/SEBC Candidates: 10% of the total 720 marks (i.e., 72 marks and above).

• SC/ST/PD Candidates: 7.5% of the total 720 marks (i.e., 54 marks and above).

Admission Process

The K-MAT admission process involves the following stages:

1. Entrance Test: The K-MAT is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) of 3 hours duration and consists of 180 objective-type questions.

2. Weightage:

   • Entrance Test Score: 80%

   • Group Discussion: 10%

   • Personal Interview: 10%
