Court Master (Shorthand): Pay Level 11 (Basic Pay: ₹67,700)
Senior Personal Assistant: Pay Level 8 (Basic Pay: ₹47,600)
Personal Assistant: Pay Level 7 (Basic Pay: ₹44,900)

Eligibility Criteria
For Court Master (Shorthand):
Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Skill Requirements: Proficiency in shorthand (120 w.p.m.) and computer typing (40 w.p.m.).
Experience: Minimum 5 years as Private Secretary/Senior PA/PA or equivalent roles in Government/PSU/Statutory Bodies.
For Senior Personal Assistant:
Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized university.
Skill Requirements: Proficiency in shorthand (110 w.p.m.) and computer typing (40 w.p.m.).
For Personal Assistant:
Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized university.
Skill Requirements: Proficiency in shorthand (100 w.p.m.) and computer typing (40 w.p.m.).
Age Limit
Court Master (Shorthand): 30–45 years
Senior Personal Assistant: 18–30 years
Personal Assistant: 18–30 years
Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen and other eligible candidates as per government rules. Departmental candidates within the Registry of the Supreme Court have no upper age limit.
Reservation Policy
The reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) is as per government rules. Dependents of Freedom Fighters are also eligible for reservation in accordance with the directives of the Chief Justice of India.
Examination Pattern and Selection Process
The selection process involves multiple stages, including:
Typing Speed Test
Speed: 40 w.p.m. (Mistakes allowed: Court Master 2%, Others 3%).
Shorthand Skill Test
Speed: Court Master (120 w.p.m.), Senior Personal Assistant (110 w.p.m.), Personal Assistant (100 w.p.m.).
Written Test
Objective Type Questions on General English, Aptitude, Knowledge of Law (Court Master), and General Knowledge.
Computer Knowledge Test
Objective-based questions on computer operations.
Interview
A panel interview to assess overall suitability.
Minimum qualifying marks differ for general and reserved categories at each stage.
Exam Centers
The tests will be conducted across 23 centers in 16 states, including cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Candidates can select three preferred centers during application.
